How do I get my dog potty trained again?

We went on vacation last week and left him at the boarding kennel so he wouldn’t be lonely. Now every morning we wake up to **** on the floor but he only does it at night. He use to wake us up by whining but now he doesn’t. We let him out before we go to bed and in the middle of the night when one of us gets up to use the bathroom but he still does it. Its really annoying. How do we break him of that? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
I have a dog not a puppy.
